Funded by a three-year €2.24 million grant from EDCTP, UPTAKE brings together a unique international consortium of five leading academic, public health, and product development organizations in Africa and Europe. The study is led by global experts in socio-behavioral science, health economics, and HIV prevention research, under the supervision of a project management group. UPTAKE also hosts four post-graduate students who are undertaking their studies at LSHTM as a key part of capacity strengthening efforts.
